72 Hour Challenge
Starting right now, not after lunch, or tomorrow morning, right now. I challenge you to not eat any sugar. Just for 3 days. No sugary cereal, no sugar in your coffee, no candy. Least amount of sugar as possible. Do you care enough about your body to do this simple challenge? Do you have the will power? If you’re going to try, let us know but commenting on our Facebook page and then in 3 days leave another comment letting us know how you did.
When I say sugar too, I mean the refined stuff that you can find in many products that you’ll buy and that a lot of Americans eat daily. For example the natural sugars in fruits are ok. If you are going to try this, just eat a lot of fruits, veggies and animal products like eggs, fish, steak, chicken ect. Nuts are also a great choice.

Good luck.
Commitment
With one month of 2012 almost down how are your New Year’s resolutions coming along? Are you still working at these goals or have you completely forgot about them already? If you have not stuck to your goals or resolutions that you have made for 2012, you must discover why. Maybe the goal was not obtainable? Or perhaps you weren’t committed enough to carry through with it like so many people do every January.
No matter what the goal is, whether it is weight loss, becoming a better student or athlete, or becoming better at your occupation, it all starts with a process. What is the process that you are going to use to reach you goal? Do not get caught in whether the process is the most effective way or not, or if the process is the most popular among others. To obtain a goal, there must be a process. No matter what the process is, if you are 100 percent committed to it, it will work.
It is all about commitment. Want to lose weight? Commit to your diet and make a goal for number of workouts in the month. Want to be a better student? Study every night, even for tests that are weeks away and go to class and ask questions. Want to gain weight for a sport? Start a food journal and track what you eat.
Hoping and wishing for your goals and dreams to come true will get you nowhere. Make a process and stick to it.
If you become 100 percent committed to the process, you will reach your goals.
No Time? No Problem
Sometimes, life can get too busy to take time out and go to the gym. Instead of arguing what would be considered a reasonable excuse, or how you could find time, here is an excellent workout that can burn some calories and be done in your bedroom with no equipment. I also like to do this workout when staying in a hotel that does not have a gym. Here it is:
A1. Rear Foot Elevated Split Squat x 10 each leg
A2. Decline Push up x 10
A3. Body Weight Squat x 10
A4. Mountain Climber x 10 each leg
A5. Side Plank x 30 seconds each
Simple and easy. The only thing needed is a bed or couch to elevate your feet for the split squat and push, and of course both those exercises can be done without elevating your feet. Try this for 15 minutes next time you’re on vacation or can make it in.
Things To Do Better in The New Year
1. Stop Bitching.
Seriously, stop it. Don’t waste time being negative and complaining, whining and bitching never makes anything better, or solves any problems. Do something productive, be positive and enjoy your time on this earth.
2. Pick a Diet and Stick with it
Flip flopping from fad diet to fad diet is damaging to your body and will ensure that you won’t lose weight. Pick one, stick with it for at least 3 months and see what happens. Remember keeping it simple is the best and easiest way, eat a lot of vegetables, lean cuts of meat, chicken, or fish, some fruits and healthy nuts.
3. Use it or lose it
Want to be able to walk up the stairs on your own when you’re old? Better start exercising now, whether it is a gym membership, daily walk with the dog, or parking as far away as possible at the grocery store. Do something!
4. Eat Breakfast
Difficult mornings? Not enough time? Get out of bed earlier and have a healthy breakfast with protein, toast is not breakfast. Having breakfast will have you feeling more energized for the day, feel more full, and help wake you up before work or school.
5. Have a Purpose
Failure is caused by lack of purpose. Have goals, fight for them, and do your best to achieve them.
6. Education
Are you as good as you were last year at your job? Or have you become too comfortable and are beginning to slack off. What about your hobby or passion? Do you still care as much as you did a year ago? Why not get better at it? Attend a seminar or a workshop to help you become better.
7. Make time for exercise, don’t find time.
Trying to fit an hour or half hour into a busy schedule can be impossible. Find time for exercise and schedule everything else around it. Make everything revolve around your exercise. Your health and well-being should be a priority, so make time for it. There are 168 hours in a week, setting aside a few shouldn’t be hard.
